The UCORD project team held a series of strategic sessions with pilot Regional Development Agencies.

The purpose of the meetings was to review the progress of each of the six agencies (Vinnytsia, Volyn, Odesa, Sumy, Ternopil, and Khmelnytskyi regions) in implementing their grant agreements with financial support from the UCORD project, discuss risks related to task delivery and meeting deadlines, and align on the next steps to ensure the successful completion of planned activities and the achievement of expected results.

The RDA teams presented the results of their activities, analysed progress against key indicators, and shared their own experiences — including how they are strengthening institutional capacity, working with communities, businesses, civil society, and international partners, and introducing new tools in the field of regional development. At the same time, they discussed the challenges they are facing and worked together to identify joint solutions.

During the strategic sessions, the agencies thoroughly discussed and updated their action plans through the end of 2026. For each agency, specific steps were defined, including a month-by-month breakdown of expected results, indicators, deadlines, and responsible persons.

Such meetings are important not only for taking stock of progress. They also help better coordinate joint efforts, align approaches, and plan the next steps for the continued institutional development of the agencies as drivers of regional development.
