Despite the dangers faced by the residents of this region, new ideas are emerging in Sumy Oblast that are turning into effective tools for economic development. The publication Business of Sumy Region: From Idea to Result, created by the UCORD project partner, the Sumy Regional Development Agency, is a vivid example of how local businesses continue to operate even in the most difficult conditions.
The catalogue contains the stories of strong-minded people – entrepreneurs, regional brands and craft producers – who create unique products that inspire and unite. It includes gastronomic delicacies and drinks, designer clothes and ceramics – the range of local products is truly impressive.
The aim of this project is to introduce the general public to the enterprises that support the region’s economy, promote original products of Sumy manufacturers, and demonstrate the powerful potential of this region to the world.
This catalogue has been prepared by the Sumy Regional Development Agency with the support of Switzerland within the framework of the Swiss-Ukrainian project ‘Cohesion and Regional Development of Ukraine’, UCORD, implemented via the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation by NIRAS Sweden AB.
